We went on our first over night trip as a family to Calgary. We first stopped to have a visit with Grandpa Stauffer. Maria had a great blow out but we got things cleaned up right before we took this picture. We then proceeded to Chinook mall to meet up with Jen and pick up some new duds for Daddy. Maria was awake the whole time taking in all the bright lights and loud sounds while wanting Daddy to carry her the whole time. We also found a cute Halloween costume and some new dud's for Maria. We went over to Auntie Leanne and Uncle Reno's for supper. Rachel and Carson were really happy to see us, especially Maria! She gave them some of her big smiles. After they went to bed we headed over to Auntie Lorna's and had a nice visit. Maria brought Auntie Lorna a book to read. She slept from 11:30pm to 5 am and then only got up at 8:45am because Darren brought her upstairs to say goodbye to the kids as they headed off to church.
In the basement room there was a pink pony and Daddy thought it would be fun to ride it while he took a picture.
We went to Harvest Hills Alliance and saw Auntie Grace and Uncle Harold. After lunch we went over to Eric, Nat and Ryan's. Maria cuddled with Nat for most of the day and their puppy wasn't too sure about this new person intruding. Maggie then decided Maria was okay and made sure she was in her line of vision at all times. Maria received a kiss from Maggie and seemed to enjoy it.
Maria did really well in the car. We think she slept most of the way but it's hard to tell since we couldn't see her.
Maria is sporting her new dud's. She really enjoys wearing pretty footwear. Mother like daughter ;) We are finding her pants to be too big in the waist but the perfect length. We are trying to fatten her up a bit.
This is Maria sporting another new outfit (the pants actually fell off when she was picked up) sitting in her Bumbo chair at Grandma's store.
Maria is "talking" more. She recognizes who we are and knows our voices. She has become a daddy's little girl and gets upset if he isn't paying attention to her when he is in the room.
