Sorry to all those followers of Maria's blog. It's been hard to come downstairs to write. There has been lot of stuff that has happened on both sides of the family and in our imitate one. I don't have any pictures for today but will post some soon. Maria is a full fledged walker. Two weeks ago she decided she had enough of crawling and has been walking everywhere ever since. I am enjoying being able to put her down and she doesn't get her knees all dirty. She had taken her first stroll in September, when we were out in B.C. and first little step a few weeks earlier. I think she was mastering it before showing anyone.
Maria also has become a little chatterbox. She is forever saying : mom, mom, mom...mom? In which I reply " Yes, dear?" She answers me back with the same phrase. Dadda, tirsty (which either means hungry or thirsty....), baby, kitty are some of her favorites. She loves to stack objects, sit in baskets (boxes), fit small objects into bigger objects.
Maria has become a little more picky at meal time, though she will eat most of her plate if she is hungry enough. One thing she won't eat is broccoli no matter how hungry she maybe.
She has been having tantrums when she doesn't get her way. It's a trying time to deal with them but both Darren and I know we can't give in (especially when 30seconds later she is smiling on her own accord)
Today we went and met a potential babysitter, Leah. It went well, this is where she will go when I head back to work. We are going to try her next week for a few days to see how it goes and so I can spend a few whole days studying. Leah has 2 children of her own (2.5 yr old girl and a 10month boy). Darren used to work with her husband and they got along really well.
I'm a little torn at the moment about sending her to a babysitter.....
