Well it's a new year and I realized how behind I am on up dates. I'm going to try to gets things up to date.  Maria is a very happy little girl. She is starting to babble up a storm. We especially saw it when we went out to BC for New Year's. She was laying half way under the coffee table yapping to herself. :) 

The drive out there took us around 10 hours. She did really well. We left at 4am, so she slept for a good part of the trip. On our way back we left around 2pm BC time. She slept for the majority of the way (I think she was all tuckered out from the exciting weekend because she even slept in till 9 am the next morning.

We were very excited to be able to go out there. It has been awhile since Darren's parents and sister's family have seen Maria. She lapped up all the attention :)

For Christmas we made our way to the Hat and stayed at my parents place. Maria had troubles sleeping with all the excitement but had a wonderful time with her cousins.

Boxing day went to Cathie and Trevor's. We were able to visit with the Stauffer side of the family. We took Maria to the swimming pool for the first time and she enjoyed it.

Maria is up on all fours. She isn't moving forward in a crawl yet but she is rocking back and forth then launching herself towards the toy she wants. She is also using her rolling abilities to get all around the living room floor. I found her with her bottom half under the couch the other day.

Today was her 6 month check up. 6 MONTHS already I can't believe it! She is 5.8kg (12.79lbs) about 5th percentile, and 67cm (26.5 inches) long about 60th percentile. We are going to start her on mashed foods this week. MMMmmm,  today is sweet potato. I have given her cereal and she did really well, not to bad of a mess ;).
